Day two in the cottage.

So today was a really relaxed day of waking up when it was dark outside and eating magic stars for lunch in bed.
Following our child out day, we then donned our glad rags and went to a party hosted by Rosanne's lovely workmate Sophie. We were introduced to everyone but obviously with my anxiety, I was very awkward until one lovely Yorkshire woman,Shelly, made me giggle and from then we all laughed like we'd known each other for years.
This was the lovely mother and daughter; Shelly and Ebony. I was completely dumbfounded by the fact Ebony was only 15! But they were truly lovely!

It was a really lovely evening but I'm totally suffering this morning for it!

Day one in the cottage :3

So today's things started off with an outfit choice.. for the drive there. I went for 70's bohemia, road trip realness.
My dad helped me take these pictures and he loved it as he's a 70's man himself. So I got my massive suitcase into the car and we set off. We stopped in Rhyl just to have a "quick" look in the charity shop which turned into a ginormous bag full of new clothes!

When we got here, we took Danielle's dog, Max out for a walk around the village with my new Starbucks travel mug full of Cappuccino which was beautiful.
I loved walking around the village and looking at the assortment of lights carefully placed in people's gardens and one couple had a boat in their garden just filled with lights which was lovely! The only downside was walking in 6" platform heels around a cobblestone path.

When we returned from the walk, we had some food and snuggled down to watch my favourite Christmas film; Polar Express! We had an open fire and warm, snuggly blankets. It was lovely!
I missed my dad lots but I phoned him when I got here to look after my patchwork owl Gertrude whilst I was away which cheered me up and I feel so at home here it's lovely!

I'm a very excitable puppy today indeed.

This year has been somewhat of a difficult time for me with various tragedy's entwining with the stress of my job and college so I'm so excited for the new year! This year for Christmas, I'm travelling with my friend, Danielle, to visit her family in Telford for the entire holiday period. I'm really excited as it'll be my first Christmas away from my family and all the overwhelming activities that Christmas seems to bring. I got to thinking about all the things I could do to fill my time whilst away and one of the things included documenting my time there through writing and also film, I thought it would be bother entertaining for me to film but also interesting to compare what Christmas is like away from the norm. So that's why I'm excited for my little trip away and I'm spending the majority of my tomorrow packing which will make me even more excited!

Today was amazing simply because it was jam packed with lovely things. Not one aspect of the day was unpleasant. It was like someone was looking down upon us and smiled. Firstly, we rushed to Holywell for work where the kids were adorable. We then went to Chester for a small shopping trip. We started in the first charity shop we went to where I was a tad downhearted by the fact none of the size 8 items would fit me. I eventually purchased a pair of emerald green shorts (high waisted - lovely lining) and a sheer bright red blouse with black lining and gold buttons. Much to jay's dislike this was after I'd tried on at least half of the shop! I believe that you have to try different things on as you may find your favourite thing ever on the off chance. We then went into the Disney store where I adore going. Then Jay purchased a few CD's from HMV and we went into the body shop. I've heard so much about their haircare and wanted to try some out. As it was recently my birthday, Jay treated me to the 'Rainforest Volume' Conditioner and shampoo. I had ran out of my usual 'Hemp hand protector' and as it was my birthday month, the lady said I could chose anything up to £5 for free and the hemp hand protector was in a 3 for £5 offer so I got my usual 'pink grapefruit hand sanitizer' and tried the 'blueberry lip butter'. I simply adore these products for you encase you're in the body shop any time soon. I'd really like to try the banana shampoo+conditioner but that'll be another time.
